Under laminate heating system
Our new range of Under laminate heating mats are designed to be installed under laminate, engineered and most solid wood floors (always check with the floor manufacturer first)
Our under laminate heating mats, also known as under wood heating, are produced as pre-assembled installation mats, with sizes of 1m2 to 24m2 and incredibly thin at 2mm. The under laminate heating mats are 500mm wide and are fully earth screened utilising an aluminium foil covering, this means they can be installed in wet areas such as bathrooms & kitchens, in full compliance with electrical & building regulations, they have a power output of 140w per square meter, the reason they are set at this wattage is to regulate the floor temprature to not exceed 29 degrees, this is to protect the wood from warping.
Under laminate heating mats are suitable for any room, including bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories, extensions, etc.
A significant advantage of these under laminate heating mats is the way the they can be cut and folded to suit a given floor area, no longer needing expensive carbon film underfloor heating systems that need to have a bespoke design before ordering. Our underlaminate heating is suitable in wet areas unlike carbon film systems. Under laminate heating is healthy and eco freindly.
Floor Insulation
It is extremley important that you use our insulation boards in conjuction with our under laminate heating systems, not only do the boards act as the thermal barrier against heat loss, they also protect the cables from being crushed, we always recommend using Blueboard insulation boards wherever possible
Guarantee
All our under laminate heating systems come with a lifetime guarantee
All our thermostats come with a 2 year guarantee

underfloor heating or central heating??
Are you thinking about installing underfloor heating in your home? Underfloor heating is fast becoming a "must have" addition to any quality refurbishment or new home build. Growth in the underfloor heating market has grown year on year and more homeowners are installing underfloor heating in their properties.
Why are people switching over to underfloor heating from more traditional heating systems like central heating? If you compare the benfits of both systems it becomes clear that underfloor heating is the more modern and efficient choice. Not only does underfloor heating reduce your energy bills (when installed correctly) it also allows you more freedom for design, no longer needing any ugly clumsy leaking radiators!
Would you like to lower your heating Bills?
Used in conjunction with super efficient insulation boards underfloor heating can lower your energy bills by up to 30% . This is why underfloor heating is seen as an Eco friendly home addition - underfloor heating is a radiant heating source which means it uses less energy to heat your room and because of this heating bills are much lower. The method of radiant heating compared with radiators is a better use of warm air - the heat from a radiator starts from one point rises straight up and then comes down onto the head making you feel hot at head level but cold around your feet! not the best situation.
The electric heating cables that run under the flooring system will warm your choice of floor covering, including wood (see our underwood heating system), carpet, tile, stone and concrete (see our undertile systems). The heating mats or cables gently heat the floor covering and then this radiates from the floor and the rest of the room warms naturally as well. The heat rises from the floor to the top of the ceiling, which is the optimal situation. With underfloor heating, the floor underneath your feet is always warm so you can even lay down for a comfortable snooze! also dogs and cats absolutley love underfloor heating!!
Installing underfloor heating can be carried out but any fairly competent DIY'er and this can save lots of money when compared to employing a plumber or gas fitter for two weeks to fit central heating!! You can even lay all the mats yourself and then employ an electrician to make the final connections to your electrical supply.
Another huge benefit of underfloor heating is that you can remove unsightly radiators and gain more wall space! for these reason and many more - people are choosing underfloor heating for their homes.
Dont take our word for it, watch us on channel 4 working with leading architect George Clarke, we supplied and installed 5 different types of system in and around London, from Chelsea, Park lane and kensington to Camden, Docklands and Purley, and see how much underfloor heating can change the way you heat your home forever.
